Activity Idea: Snakes and ladders

An outdoor take on the traditional game

For less than £30 it is possible to purchase a mat and an inflatable dice. The players themselves act as the counters and move up the ladders and down the snakes on the three meter square plastic mat.

But with some imagination...... we are not aware of such a course (please let us know if there is one!), but what about 3D snakes and ladders on a forest scale! Real wooden ladders leading up to platforms and snakes in the form of giant slides. Dice could be placed within cages along the route. Clearly this would have to take place within a safety environment as do the high ropes exercises (see High ropes ).

Food for thought? If anyone makes a mint on this, remember where you got the idea!
